Share Messages
Students submit AI responses from their chat for teacher review, feedback, and grading.
Overview
Share Messages creates a feedback loop between students and teachers. During a class session, students can select specific AI responses from their chat and submit them to you. You see every submission in a review dashboard, where you can add written feedback, assign grades, organize with tags, and star important work. Submissions arrive in real time, so you can follow along as students complete their work.
Students can only submit â they cannot see what other students have shared.
How to Access
Teachers:
- Go to the Teacher Portal
- Click Share Messages in the sidebar
Students:
- During an active class session, open any AI conversation
- Look for the Share button on AI messages
The Share button is only visible when the student is in an active class session.
Student Flow: Submitting a Message
- Student starts or continues an AI conversation during a class session
- The AI generates a response
- A Share button appears on each AI message
- Student clicks Share on the message they want to submit
- The message is sent to the teacherâs review dashboard
- The student sees a confirmation that the message was submitted
Students can submit as many messages as they like during a session. Each submission is tracked separately.
Teacher Flow: Reviewing Submissions
When you open the Share Messages dashboard, you see all student submissions across your sessions.
- Live feed â During an active session, new submissions appear in real time as students send them
- Submission list â Each entry shows the student name, the submitted AI message content, and the session it came from
- Search and filter â Find specific submissions by student name, session, or tags
You can click on any submission to open it in detail and take action.
Grading and Feedback
To grade a student submission:
- Open the submission from the dashboard
- Add a grade using the grading field
- Write feedback in the text area to share comments with the student
- Save your changes
This is useful for assessing how well students used the AI to explore a topic, how they framed their questions, or the quality of the AI-generated content they chose to share.
Organizing with Tags
Tags help you categorize submissions so you can find and group them later.
- Open a submission
- Click to add one or more tags
- Choose from your existing tags or go to Tag Management to create new ones
Example tag systems:
- By topic: âPhotosynthesisâ, âCell Divisionâ, âGeneticsâ
- By quality: âExcellentâ, âNeeds Improvementâ, âRedoâ
- By assignment: âWeek 1 Activityâ, âMidterm Reviewâ
Starring Important Submissions
Click the star icon on any submission to mark it as important. Starred submissions are easy to find later and are useful for:
- Identifying strong student work to share with the class
- Flagging submissions that need follow-up
- Building a collection of noteworthy examples
Who Can Use This
- Teachers â View all submissions, add grades and feedback, apply tags, and star entries. This feature requires a Teacher plan.
