Account & Settings

Manage your display name, guest account, backups, language, theme, font size, and subscription.

Overview

Most personal settings live in two places: the profile menu (click your profile icon in the top right) and the Setting dialog you open from that menu. The top bar also has quick controls for the color theme and interface language.

This page covers what each control does. For plan differences and daily limits, see Plans & Limits.

How to Access

  1. Sign in, or continue as a guest
  2. Click your profile icon in the top right to open the profile menu
  3. Click Setting to open the Setting dialog

Key Features

  • Profile menu — Shows your email and display name, and has font size, Setting, Contact Us, Pricing or Manage Subscription, and Sign out
  • Account tab — View your email, change your display name, and manage guest access
  • MQTT tab — Save MQTT broker connections for MQTT Connection
  • Import/Export tab — Download a backup of your chats and prompt templates, or restore one
  • Top bar controls — Switch between light and dark theme, pick a theme color, and change the interface language

Step-by-Step Guide

Change Your Display Name

  1. Open the profile menu and click Setting
  2. On the Account tab, edit the Name field. Your Email is shown above it and cannot be edited here
  3. Click Save. The button appears only after you change the name

Your display name appears in the profile menu.

Use a Guest Account on Another Device

The Guest Access Control section appears on the Account tab if you are signed in as a guest, or if this browser has signed in as a guest before.

  1. On the Account tab, find Guest Access Control
  2. Click Copy next to the login link
  3. Open the link on your other device to sign in as the same guest account

Anyone with this link can open your guest account, so keep it private.

Move Guest History to a Regular Account

  1. In the browser you used as a guest, sign in with your regular account
  2. Open Setting and find Guest Access Control on the Account tab
  3. Click Migrate Guest Account History and confirm

The guest account’s history moves to the account you are signed in with, and is deleted from the guest account afterward. To remove the guest account from this browser, click Remove Guest Account from this device. Copy the login link first if you want to keep using it elsewhere. See Guest Access for more.

Back Up and Restore Your Data

  1. Open Setting and go to the Import/Export tab
  2. Under V2, click Export to download a JSON backup file
  3. To restore, click Import and choose a backup file exported from Chat Everywhere

The backup includes your chat folders, chats, your own prompt templates, and templates you imported. Only text is exported. File attachments and media are not included. The V1 buttons are for a legacy format and are currently disabled.

Change the Language

  1. In the top bar, click the language button. It shows the current language, for example EN or 中
  2. Choose English, 中文, 日本語, or Bahasa Indonesia

The page reloads in the selected language.

Change the Theme

  • Click the sun or moon icon in the top bar to switch between light and dark theme
  • Use the theme color control next to it to change the accent color

Change the Font Size

  1. Open the profile menu
  2. Choose M (default), L (large), or XL (extra large)

Upgrade or Manage Your Subscription

  1. Open the profile menu, or look in the top bar
  2. Click Pricing to compare plans and upgrade. If you already have a paid plan or a Meeting Summarizer subscription, the item reads Manage Subscription
  3. In the dialog that opens, subscribers see their current plan, renewal date, and a link to manage the subscription

Troubleshooting

The Save button doesn’t appear

The Save button appears only when the name field is not empty and differs from your current name.

I don’t see Guest Access Control

This section appears only if you are signed in as a guest or this browser has signed in as a guest before. Sign in as the guest first on the same browser, then sign in with your regular account to migrate.

My import failed

Import only accepts JSON files created by Export in Chat Everywhere. If you see “Failed to import: Invalid file format”, export a fresh backup and try again.
